RAPID CITY, SD – Gather your friends and treat yourself to a much deserved day out in Downtown Rapid City on Saturday, May 9, taking in all the shopping, dining and entertainment that Downtown Rapid City has to offer. The Rapid City Downtown Association will partner with the 28th Force Support Squadron, Ellsworth Air Force Base, to host Girls’ Day Out in Downtown Rapid City from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Participants may check in at Main Street Square on the corner of Sixth and Main streets, starting at 11 a.m. to receive event passports for day of shopping and socializing in Downtown Rapid City.
Participating businesses will feature quotes to find and specials for passport holders. Completed passports may be entered at Main Street Square by 3 p.m. for a chance to win door prizes from Downtown businesses. Participants need not be present to win door prizes.
"The Rapid City Downtown Association is proud to partner with the 28th Force Support Squadron from Ellsworth AFB for a second year,” Rapid City Downtown Association membership coordinator Suzette Cuny said. “Participants will not only be able to see what Downtown Rapid City has to offer, but they have the chance to win great door prizes, too."
“This year a shuttle will be provided to pick participants up at Ellsworth Air Force Base, drop them off at Main Street Square, then take them back when they have finished shopping,” said Cuny.
The shuttle pick up times will be at 10:30 a.m. and noon at Bandit Lanes at Ellsworth Air Force Base. The shuttle will drop patrons off at Main Street Square. Transportation from Main Street Square back to Bandit Lanes will be provided at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m.

Downtown Spring Fling is held in conjunction with Main Street Square’s Frühlingfest, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
