Main Street Square has heard your requests, and is adding a second stage of music every Thursday from June 6 to Aug. 29.
Free live bands will be featured on the Summer Nights stage at Seventh and St. Joseph streets, and on the Main Street Square stage, at Sixth and Main streets, every Thursday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
“We have had several requests for more music, so we are working with Summer Nights to offer a second stage,” said Main Street Square Executive Director Megan Karbowski. “We have coordinated schedules to offer two genres each night.”
Also featured at the Summer Concert Series will be kids’ activities in Pedestrian Alley, food, and an assortment of beverages in the Bud Light Beverage Garden.
The Summer Concert Series at Main Street Square is sponsored by Liberty Superstores. Entertainment is sponsored by Family Thrift Center and Prairie Market.
Featured entertainment is June 6, Dogs Without Sweaters, cover band; June 13, The Abbey Road Band, Beatles tribute; June 20, Randy McAllister, Americana/roots; June 27, Special Consensus, bluegrass; July 4, to be announced; July 11, Monrovia, cover band; July 18, Joe Pug, singer/songwriter, with opening act; July 25, Vehicle, variety/cover band; Aug. 1, Places, original soft rock; Aug. 8, The Bo Ladner Band, Johnny Cash Tribute Band; Aug. 15, Eric Jerardi Band, blues/rock; Aug. 22, The Tinder Box, folk bluegrass, with opening act Avian; Aug. 29, PowerPlay, rock/cover band.
