Cruiser Car Show & Street Fair

Sunday, July 9, 2017 | 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Classic cars will roll into Downtown Rapid City on Sunday, July 9, as cruisers park and stay to show off their rides. Shop the swap meet, play in the Regional Health and Scull Construction Kidz Zone, grab something to eat from a delicious food vendor, enjoy an assortment of refreshments in the Bud Light Beverage Garden, and rock out to a free concert in the afternoon. Cruiser Car Show & Street Fair is presented by Main Street Square, Destination Rapid City and the Rapid City Police Department.

 Vehicle Registration 
10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Swap Meet and Regional Health and Scull Construction Kidz Zone open
10:30 a.m. Rapid City Police Department K-9 Unit Demonstration
11 a.m. Bud Light Beverage Garden opens
11 a.m. Live music by Cimarron, new and classic country and rock
2:30 p.m. Car Show Awards Ceremony

Vehicle Registration
Want to show off your car? Pre-register your vehicle online HERE or by mail for $15, or the day of the event for $20. All vehicles must be registered to be included in the judging. Pre-registration opens on Thursday, June 1.

By pre-registering your vehicle, you are guaranteed a spot at Cruiser Car Show & Street Fair and will receive one Cruiser Car Show & Street Fair t-shirt in the size specified during registration. Pre-registration ends at noon on Friday, July 7.

Vehicles may also be registered on the day of the event, from 8 to 11 a.m., for $20 per vehicle. Vehicles registered on the day of the event will receive one Cruiser Car Show & Street Fair t-shirt, subject to availability. There will be random prize drawings during registration on the day of the event.

First place trophies will be awarded by Rapid City Police Department Police Chief Karl Jegeris at 2:30 p.m. during the Car Show Awards Ceremony. Judging will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the following classes: Cars 1900 to 1949; Cars 1950 to 1959; Cars 1960 to 1969; Cars 1970 to 1979; Cars 1980 to 1999; Cars 2000 to present; Trucks 1900 to 1959, Trucks 1960 to present; Rat Rods; Orphans (vehicles that do not fall into any of the classes); Golden Donut, (Chief’s choice); Bald Tire (traveled the farthest); and Kids’ Choice.
