Main Street Square’s Sixth Annual Art & Wine Festival set for June 10

DOWNTOWN RAPID CITY, SD – Tasting tickets are now on sale for the sixth annual Art & Wine Festival at Main Street Square on Saturday, June 10, from noon to 6 p.m. Art & Wine Festival is sponsored by Neugebauer’s Fine Jewelry and Family Thrift Center, Progress Sponsor Prairie Edge Trading Co.

With wine glass in hand, attendees can peruse dozens of booths at the maker’s market, featuring an eclectic blend of handcrafted items, artisan designs, vintage treasures, and fabulous finds for purchase.

A ticketed wine tasting will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Sample wines from many regions during the ticketed wine tasting, including South Dakota wineries. Rapid City wine distributors will be on site as well. The Bud Light Beverage Garden will be open to the public beginning at noon and available to those who do not wish to purchase a tasting package. The event is free and open to all ages. IDs are required to consume alcohol.

Three wine tasting packages are available for purchase. The Unlimited Tasting Pass is $40, or $45 the day of the event, and includes unlimited tastings. 13 Taste-As-You-Go Tickets are $30 and includes thirteen wine tasting tickets. 5 Taste-As-You-Go Tickets are $15 and includes five wine tasting tickets. All tasting packages include a souvenir wine tasting glass. Pre-purchase your tasting package by Friday, June 9, at noon online, by phone, or at the Main Street Square office.

Pre-purchased tasting packages will be available for pick up at Will Call in the Visitor Information Center on the day of the event, located on the north side of Main Street Square by the parking garage. Additional tickets and tasting glasses may also be purchased at this location on the day of the event.

“Art & Wine Festival showcases and celebrates the depth of our arts community through the art market, performers, and artists,” said Megan Whitman, executive director of Main Street Square. “With a variety of South Dakota wineries in attendance, it’s also the perfect chance to discover your new, favorite South Dakota wine.”

Art & Wine Festival will feature live performances from Lightning Creek at noon, acoustic instrumental, pop, and jazz, and The Intuit Band at 3 p.m., reggae, funk, jazz, blues, and hip hop. Live art demonstrations from Vibratious Art by David Livingston will take place during the performances at 1, 3, and 5 p.m. There will also be free interactive arts and crafts opportunities for children and adults from noon to 4 p.m.

Extend your day Downtown with shopping and dining, while enjoying free parking in all Downtown public lots, metered spaces on the streets, and in the parking ramp near Main Street Square all day on Saturday, June 10.
