[Love]² Bridal Fair set for August 13 at Main Street Square

Wednesday, July 26, 2017

RAPID CITY, SD – Brides-to-be, grooms, and event planners will find everything they need during [Love]² Bridal Fair at Main Street Square from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Sunday, Aug. 13. [Love]² Bridal Fair is brought to you in partnership by Main Street Square, Black Hills Bride and the Hotel Alex Johnson. Entertainment Co-Sponsors, Cadey Reisner Weddings and Neugebauer’s Fine Jewelry.

The fourth annual bridal show features displays from the area’s leading wedding professionals, a spectacular runway fashion show, thousands of dollars in prizes and giveaways, music, and entertainment.

Wedding and special occasion vendor booths will line Main Street Square and Sixth St., between Main and Omaha streets, featuring ceremony and reception venues, photographers, DJs, caterers, cosmetic consultants, and more. Cantio Flutes will perform from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Audra’s Bridal Gallery will put on a bridal fashion show at 1:30 p.m. on the Main Street Square stage. Be sure to grab your free copy of the 2017 Black Hills Bride magazine, which will be available at multiple locations at the event.

“Join us for this free, outdoor bridal show in Downtown Rapid City that makes planning your special day easy and enjoyable,” said Megan Whitman, executive director of Main Street Square. “Whether you just said ‘yes’ or are soon to say ‘I do,’ you will find new ideas, get expert advice and connect face-to-face with local vendors at [Love]² Bridal Fair.”

Brides are encouraged to RSVP to the bridal show. The first 175 brides to RSVP will receive a free swag bag and will be automatically entered in a bride prize package drawing (must be present to win). The event is free to attend and an RSVP is not required. Attendees are encouraged to bring a baby hygiene item as a donation to Mommy's Closet, a free crisis resource provider that lends a helping hand to moms, dads, and families with children under the age of five.

The Bud Light Beverage Garden will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and will provide one complimentary mimosa for all brides 21 years of age and older, with a valid ID. Grooms can join in on the fun at Paddy O'Neill's, which will offer specials on drinks and appetizers from 2 to 4 p.m.

The third annual Trash the Dress competition is an opportunity to get creative, while raising money for local non-profit Mommy’s Closet. Audra’s Bridal Gallery is donating six dresses to be trashed by three teams of brides and three teams of local businesses. All six teams will “trash” their dress anyway they would like, as long as it is still recognizable as a wedding dress. The trashed dresses will be displayed during [Love]2 Bridal Fair at ID check stations, where attendees will cast their vote by placing a donation in the container at their favorite dress. The dress with the most donations will win pedicures for five at Mystique Edge Day Spa and a bottle of wine from Firehouse Wine Cellars. A portion of the money raised will be given to Mommy’s Closet. The winners will be announced at 2:45 p.m. on the Main Street Square Stage. The dresses will also be displayed on Thursday, Aug. 3, during the Main Street Square Concert Series featuring Gary West.
