DOWNTOWN RAPID CITY, SD – Get ready for special events this season at the Main Street Square ice skating rink.

Pull out your ugliest holiday sweaters and put them to use at the Ugly Sweater Skate Party on Friday, Dec. 2, from 5 to 9 p.m. Entertainment, prizes and more make this night fun for all ages.

Teens can skate the night away at monthly Lights on the Ice Teen Nights, where the rink is transformed into a dance party complete with lights and today’s top hits. The Lights on the Ice Teen Nights are from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16, Jan. 6, and Feb. 10. All ages are welcome.

“Between the dance contests and the light show, Lights on the Ice Teen Night has evolved into an outdoor roller rink experience,” said Megan Whitman, executive director of Main Street Square. “Local teens have a blast meeting up with friends and making new ones on the ice rink.”

Spend New Year’s Eve at the Main Street Square ice skating rink during Downtown Countdown. Gather family and friends to skate to music on an illuminated ice rink from 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31.
