DOWNTOWN RAPID CITY – The sixth annual Uptown Downtown, a fundraising auction and dinner hosted by Destination Rapid City, Main Street Square and the YMCA of Rapid City, is set for Saturday, Apr. 2, 2016, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Holiday Inn - Rushmore Plaza.
The event will benefit Downtown Rapid City, Main Street Square and the YMCA of Raid City’s Sponsorship Program. Black Hills Insurance Agency and US Bank are the sponsors of the 2016 Uptown Downtown.
The event is $60 per person, $450 per 8-person table, or $520 per 10-person table. A block of rooms has been reserved at the Holiday Inn – Rushmore Plaza for $69 per room. For reservations, call (605) 348-4000.
Uptown Downtown will kick off at 5:30 p.m. with a social hour, complete with sounds from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology Jazz Band, red carpet photo opportunities and a silent auction. A plated dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m., followed by a live auction at 7 p.m. presided by Joe Bennington. Trent Taylor, host of The Big Show on KICK 104, will MC the evening.
Some of the auction items include a weekend stay at a luxury cabin in the woods; handcrafted jewelry, accessories and art; deluxe spa treatments and services; admission to productions at local theatre companies; hotel suite romance packages; top of the line fishing, camping and sports gear; baseball and bat autographed by an MLB player; professional photography sessions; and local media advertising packages.
