Main Street Square announces Concert Series lineup

DOWNTOWN RAPID CITY – The Main Street Square Concert Series is back, bringing twice the fun in 2016. A wide variety of new bands will hit the stage with last year’s favorites on Thursday nights from June 2 to Sept. 1.

The event is held in conjunction with Summer Nights, bringing 28 unique bands to Downtown Rapid City throughout the summer months.

This year’s event will feature an expanded Kidz Zone encompassing Sixth St., with inflatables, the Main Street Square Fun Express train, games and more. The Kidz Zone is sponsored by Regional Health and Scull Construction.

Concert goers can purchase an assortment of refreshments at the Beverage Garden. The Beverage Garden is sponsored by Bud Light.

“We are excited to bring the community another rocking summer filled with a variety of talented performers,” said Elizabeth Smith, events director of Main Street Square. “In true Main Street Square fashion, these free concerts provide fun for the whole family in the heart of Downtown Rapid City.”

The Main Street Square Concert Series Major Event Sponsor is Black Hills Federal Credit Union. The Series Entertainment Co-Sponsor is Vast Broadband, and Weekly Entertainment Co-Sponsors include Black Hills Energy, Liberty Tax Service, Black Hills State University – Rapid City, Holiday Inn – Rushmore Plaza, VA Healthcare, Hotel Alex Johnson, South Dakota School of Mines & Technology, Firehouse Brewing Company and more to be announced.
