RAPID CITY, SD – The Summer Concert Series at Main Street Square will be bigger and better in 2014, with a wide variety of musical acts hitting the stage on Thursday nights from June 5 to Aug. 28. The event is held in conjunction with Summer Nights, bringing 26 unique bands to Downtown Rapid City throughout the summer months.
The Summer Concert Series at Main Street Square features the Rapid City Rush Foundation KidZone with inflatables, magic shows, games and more. New this year, Main Street Square will have teen activities including a video game trailer, and Outdoor Campus – West’s rock climbing wall.
“We continue to grow our events, expanding the Summer Concert Series with national touring acts and increasing family activities,” said Main Street Square Executive Director Megan Whitman. “We’ve received requests from the community, so we’ve included a teen zone featuring video games, a climbing wall and more.”
The Summer Concert Series at Main Street Square is sponsored by Family Thrift Center and Prairie Market. Entertainment sponsors are Liberty Superstores, Black Hills Federal Credit Union, Northwestern Mutual, Black Hills Power, University Center – Rapid City, Assurant, Iron Horse Excavating, First Interstate Bank, Presidential Pawn, RESPEC, US Bank and Epic Outdoor Advertising.

A Summer Concert Series Kick-off featuring Kory and the Fireflies with special guest Groovedaddy will be on Thursday, May 29, sponsored by Family Thrift Center and Prairie Market with entertainment sponsors Black Hills Federal Credit Union and Paddy O’Neill’s. Autumn Nights continues the [FUN]² on Thursday nights in September with Judd Hoos on Sept. 4, Abbey Road on Sept. 11, Randy McAllister on Sept. 18 and Dogs Without Sweaters on Sept. 25, sponsored by Family Thrift Center and Prairie Market with entertainment sponsors Firehouse Brewing Company, BankWest, S&T Security, Dakotah Steakhouse and Corner Pantry.
