RAPID CITY, SD – Art Night Downtown continues this Friday, August 8, 5 to 8 p.m., in Downtown Rapid City. Art Night Downtown is held every second Friday night this summer, through September, and brings businesses and artists together to create lively, interactive experiences throughout downtown.
Visitors will discover surprises in more than 25 participating businesses, as well as on sidewalks, in the street and at Main Street Square. Meet artists, browse their work, listen to music, enjoy refreshments and create your own five-minute masterpiece at Pop-up Drawing.
Get a glimpse into the mind of a graphic designer with AAF-Black Hills’ live still-life lessons, where you’ll learn about perspective, composition and layout – foundations for any future advertising career. Watch the artists at work and then delve into your own five-minute masterpiece with help from the masters of the trade. This month’s pop-up is located at the corner of Main and Sixth streets, in front of Gunderson, Palmer, Nelson, & Ashmore, LLP.
Art Night Downtown is a collaboration among local organizations and businesses. Primary partners behind Art Night Downtown are the Rapid City Downtown Association and Arts Rapid City. Find out more at www.artnightdowntownrc.com or find us on Facebook.
