DOWNTOWN RAPID CITY-Four of South Dakota’s biggest acts will perform on the Main Street Square stage as the [FUN]² continues in Downtown Rapid City on Thursday Nights through September, with Autumn Nights, sponsored by Family Thrift Center and Prairie Market with entertainment sponsor Firehouse Brewing Company.
A capella group Tonic Sol-fa will headline the event on Sept. 5; Abbey Road, Beatles tribute on Sept. 12; 10 Foot Tall and 80 Proof with roots, rock and country, on Sept. 19; and Dogs Without Sweaters, cover band, on Sept. 26.
“School may be back in session, but residents and tourists are looking for ways to spend the last warm days of the year,” said Megan Karbowski, Main Street Square executive director. “We’ll keep the momentum going with music and kids’ activities through September, bringing shoppers and diners Downtown during the shoulder tourism season.”
Autumn Nights will offer kids’ activities, and Main Street Square’s fountains as weather permits. A Bud Light beverage stations will be set up, including one with a fire truck from entertainment sponsor Firehouse Brewing Company.
“We are excited to bring the fire truck, with beer taps built in, to the Square,” Karbowski said. “Without our sponsors Family Thrift Center and Prairie Market, with entertainment sponsor Firehouse Brewing Company, the event couldn’t be possible.”
