Listen to health experts, see demonstrations and even relax with a massage at the second annual Health and Food Fair at Main Street Square on Saturday, May 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
On stage, Spinchronicity will do a hula hoop demonstration, New Freedom Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine will speak on their business, and It Works! Global will demonstrate its body applicators, wraps that have been infused with a formula to deliver tightening, toning and firming results. A representative from Healthy Happy Strong U will speak on nutrition and metabolism, and Life Force will talk about its metabolism booster samples.
At the Body Sense Therapeutic Massage and Carol White's Personal Fitness Studio booth, attendees can relax with a chair massage and attend sessions on healthy lifestyles, nutrition and fitness. And, at the Koko Fit Club booth, attendees can work out on an elliptical to earn points. The club has challenged its members to earn 5 million points to support the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life.
"Explore your well-being with wholesome vendors specializing in health foods, personal fitness and healthy-living lifestyles," said Megan Karbowski, Main Street Square Executive Director. "We are excited to showcase what Rapid City and the surrounding area has to offer in our second annual event."
Other businesses and organizations with booths include Alternative Health Care Center, a chiropractic clinic; Best Little Hair House with Nuskin skin care and nutrition products; Main Street Market, a downtown store that features healthy items including sports and health supplements; Norwex cleaning products; Regional Urgent Care; and YMCA of Rapid City.
The Health and Food Fair is held in conjunction with Main Street Square's Spring Market, with local food, crafts and other items on sale the same day, Saturday, May 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Spring Market vendors include A Sense of Wonderment, DB Reality Rocks, ES Jewelry and Crafts, Linda Meyer, Little Luxuries, Lizzie and Grace, Makaio Design, O'Keefe Honey and Syrup, The Repurposed Artist and Skinny Cook Creations.
