The show choir “River City Groove” is a mixed vocal and dance ensemble auditioned out of the Chamberlain High School Concert Choir. Members of this ensemble study a variety of repertoire with styles stretching from the 1920’s to the modern era. Along with learning how to perform the vocal style appropriate for these pieces, the members also learn appropriate dance choreography that they incorporate while singing to give a unique, well-rounded performance unlike that which is typically seen in a standard choral setting. This year the group has the opportunity to showcase their talents at Rapid City’s Main Street Square.
